Business at the Carlsbad Jimbos has always seemed very sparse since the day it opened. I just dont get it.
Back to the subject property of this thread. I spoke with an agent friend of mine yesterday who told me she also submitted an offer. Hers was one of 5 offers that was at or above $1.1M. She tends to be very realistic in her assessment of the market and over the years has consistently listed and sold properties at market without trying to push for more. She has lost many listings to agents that will list at whatever the sellers want. The fact that her clients offer was $100K over the ask surprised me.
I also didnt know there were 5 of them that high. I find it pretty amazing that 5 buyers bid at least 10% above the $1M asking price.
