Bush No. 1 was responsible for the first Gulf War. Not a Boomer, by any standards.
You Gen Xers can benefit by our aging. Because of the size of our group, we’re gonna need a whole lot more Alzheimer’s nursing homes, mortuaries, etc.
It’s also worth noting that we did not ask to be born, and certainly not in such numbers. You can blame the “Greatest Generation” for that. I remember the couple next door…they were considered weird because they had only one child. “What’s wrong with them?” was common neighborhood gossip.
And getting a “teenager” job was rough. I applied at the local McDonald’s and I was number 40 on the waiting list. We faced that kind of competition all through our early adulthoods, even after college.
