Why, you can even elect a black man (!) president without a shot being fired.

haha.. some would argue that one revolution is more than we can handle already.
The black man needs to consolidate power else the counter revolution (Tea Party) will depose him.
I think that you know what I mean Allan. Upsetting the apple cart too much is not a good thing. Business leaders hold the keys to wealth and prosperity. They have the power to stop you, in which case you get nothing.
It’s better to use businesses and their capital to build a better society.
Brian: So, in essence, you’re proving my point for me. What you’re saying is that words and principles really don’t mean much, but that the Golden Rule (“Those with the gold make the rules”) always prevails. Hence my earlier assertion that you’re not really a Progressive at all. Rather, you’re a pragmatist in the most conservative (horrors!) sense of the word: You recognize the uses of power, as well as the limits of popular appeal (and people are fickle, aren’t they?).
So how does one claim to be one thing, but fervently believe in another? Isn’t that a mite hypocritical? I mean, you are speaking out of both sides of your mouth, right? Professing one thing, but believing in another?
As Arraya glibly points out above: You’re saying that we (the people) are only allowed to do what we’re allowed to do.
