At one time I toyed w/New Mexcio. I visited Taos. Knew some people that were living off the grid. Can get by very cheaply. Live a very simple life and not having live around work. Though the winters are cold, they get more sunlight than coastal SD. Sometimes I still think about it. Haven’t been there in about 10 years, so probably has changed quite a bit. Very unspoiled. Great outdoors.
