Aecetia: I find the notion that people wouldn’t let you around their children shocking. Positively shocking. I would think your innate kindness and decency would shine through like a beacon. Or at least a penlight.
As to the elderly neighbors: They are much easier targets when sleeping, but I would imagine you probably already knew this.
