I have a real resistance when it comes to having to prove my worthiness as a renter. I know, it’s my issue, but there is something about it that feels gross and humiliating to me, and I have great credit, so that is not the issue.
Somehow, magically, for the last 20 years I have just been able to attract to me people who rented to me based on a more personal connection. Alas, this time things seem to be different.
I am looking at it as an opportunity to heal the issues I have around rejection.
