Maybe my warnings, that were made before you exposed the scam, were not strong enough. He is traveling from Switzerland to NYC in a few days. I emailed the scammers and said I would be in NYC this Thursday to hand them a check and view the apartment. Here is his reply:
“Hi,
All the infos you asked is on the paper works.
Remember the apartment is first call,first serve. Next week might be too late.
Thanks.”
I have not heard back from him.
Perhaps your friend can contact the bank to start an investigation and hold the funds using the information provided. He should act fast. Good luck with all that.
