You might be shocked at how many people think in emotional terms rather than logic. To many going through a short sale, the house represents a mistake and an embarrassment. Emotionally, they just want out, and want to be done with the whole thing.

My wife’s ex is a prime example. He stopped paying his mortgage over two years ago. Moved out and rented for a year, then moved back for a year, and is planning on moving out again, but he still doesn’t have a date for when anyone would actually come and ask him to leave. Nuts, that all I can say, but we are emotional critters at times.
