Your rant really doesn’t apply to me. I have had two LTR’s in recent years but did not meet either of them online. They WERE BOTH LOCALS, living 3 miles or less from me. I MUST remain local, I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT relocate and am UNABLE to run up and down the road “for a relationship” every few days, as you have. I CAN’T EVEN RUN UP AND DOWN TO SD or live part-time away from my home and it’s not due to narcissism or my “busy schedule or career.” Just like all those “divorced dads” you mentioned, I am a “divorced working mom” who is trying to finish raising a kid (in cooperation with the other parent) and several pets.

Perhaps my life doesn’t quite fit into the “carefree dating mold” as many kid-free daters my age expect but it’s the way it is right now.
