sdr, as I posted in the Santee thread yesterday, I don’t believe resale buyers are willing to substitute, either. In the case of Chula and other areas in the South Bay, it’s buy near a parent/sibling or rent near the relative and wait for something else to come on the market. I’ve never met a buyer that didn’t have a fairly narrow area picked out that they wanted to buy in.

But all bets are off if the buyer is only shopping new construction sites.
