I do believe that once San Diego’s population grows Santee will become more attractive to many middle-income families due to more affordable housing. However, it will never become “La Jolla of East County” due to its location away from the ocean and its history. The new developments on Rattlesnake Mountain by Lennar are nice but they are way overpriced, especially “Eaglecrest”. There is no way a buyer can make any profit within the next 10 years on a resale.
