So what do people do when the husband and wife work 50 miles apart and one of them has to take a huge paycut to change jobs? They won’t change until the commute costs more than the loss of income. Americans will find a way to adapt without having our suburbs turn into ghost towns. You will see more buses and less cars on the freeway long before suburbs turn into ghetto’s.
