gn – SAD is Seasonal Affective Disorder. People in, say, Alaska in the winter or Seattle, or any place that doesn’t get a good amount of sunshine, some people suffer from depression. Does something to some people. You get tired, have no energy. Feel sleepy. It just depresses your system. Some people even get suicidal. People that live in Alaska sometimes wear these “light” hats or some weird thing similar to give them sunlight that they wouldn’t ordinarily get up there.
I think I may have suffered a mild case of it on the East Coast in the winter. Havn’t noticed it much since I’ve been in California, though sometimes even in the winter going many weeks w/out sunshine, I seem more bummed out and not my chipper self.
