Per a conversation with my politically interested, and far more aware than me, brother…
we were talking ’bout haves and have not’s and that old rigamarole… and the point he brought up, which is not particularly brilliant though it is cogent, was that most folks on the lower ends of the social strata do not have the ability to see things on the MACRO level… uninterested in changing the SYSTEM, just wanting to exchange places for one higher up… thus… glee at ” home ownership” and riotous destruction when that carrot is taken away…
indeed, the seemingly infinite capacity of homo sapiens to,
well, suck.
