Improvement in Rate of Job Loss Stalls Out

Recent months have seen a fairly steady improvement in the year-over-year rate of job losses for San Diego County.  That annual rate of change was still firmly negative -- just less so than it had been previously.

I don't. It looks disturbing to me as it is now flat,which way is it going to go? The road to recovery seems to have hit a road block.

Maybe people got to keep their jobs over the holidays in anticipation of the shopping season. I heard Tanabe Research is closing shop, but hope to change direction and be up and running again sometime this year. Not a lot of people being layed off (35, I think) but does indicate nothing is safe.

I meant I like the new look of the chart - as in the colors, layout, etc. I think we are in a bit of a seasonal/dead-cat bounce and expect losses to dip below the -60,000 mark.
