Having sold more homes than I Having sold more homes than I can count I’ve learned everyone spends more than than want to or think they should around SD. Looking at the graph where everyone professes to wanting to spend 300 to 400 leads me to believe that you’ll all need a budget of about 500 to 600K to get what you want.

I’ve always thought I would I’ve always thought I would spend about $300k on a place. If I put about $100k down, it would leave me with a fairly easy payment. I’m not the kind of guy to buy more than I’ve budgeted for, or am comfortable with. It’s possible I could go higher if I have a better year than I anticipate. My time frame is Fall ’09.
