Better to make fresh from whole fruit and veggies. Plus consumer juices always have lots of sugar to make it “taste good” otherwise the dumb consumers won’t buy.
A big problem with juice packs is that the product is stored in plastic packs that are laced with chemicals from the manufacture process… whatever nasty chemical they use to make the plastic sheets smooth and non-stick. You’re ingesting all that crap… so no surprise you develop cancer 30 years later. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2873011

I was looking at the color of I was looking at the color of the juice (supposedly orange juice) and the pulp and to me, it didn’t look quite right. The pressed pulp is florescent orange (dyes?) and the pulp doesn’t have the right consistency. It almost looks like shredded paper soaked in TANG. My family used to have orange trees and nothing out of the orange looks like that weird pulp (there is not enough pulp in the orange to match what they have in the bag as a ratio to the juice) There may also be preservatives in the bag because most ‘juices’ turn color shortly after being made due to oxidization.
4 ton press? I don’t think so. That unit is plastic. 4 tons is 8,000lbs of force. I know some epoxys that can take that force, but I don’t think they are certified for use on food.
I was also thinking of the ecological impact. Normal juice pulp breaks down when you mulch it – and it become good compost, however not when in a plastic container/pouch. That means that the byproduct of that juice is an almost equally sized plastic container going to the landfill – because it is not recyclable with the biomass inside.
— on the other hand I can go to a Whole foods, or other store, buy juice by the quart, half gallon or gallon container and when the container is empty, I just rinse and the container can go right to recycle. I end up paying less, the container pours fast then that ‘Juicero’ extracts the juice, and in the end the byproducts would be recyclable.

Nothing magical except that it’s good dietary habit and adds more variety to your diet.
Sure, juicing won’t magically cure ills, but isn’t that better than eating all processed food? You can easily juice a dozen type veggies per week. I juice veggies i would not otherwise not consume.
