I’m trying to get a friend of mine on T-Mobile to get one so I can test it out.
I like beautiful and sleek stuff. The Nexus doesn’t look as cool as the iPhone.
What do you guys think of the Nexus One?

BTW, if we are talking about the latest mobile phone, the world can’t be near cataclysm, can it?
But I still think housing has some way to drop. Commercial real estate will be hit hard and regional and community banks will feel the pain.

I just can’t get that excited I just can’t get that excited about a phone. I’m old school – I want a cell phone that makes calls and can make/receive text messages. I don’t want to pay for a data plan. I don’t want to surf the net on the phone. I don’t even really see why phones have cameras… I have a camera for that. I have a computer for surfing the net – and it’s got a better screen and better keyboard.
I know this is blasphemous for some. Including most of my friends and coworkers.

From personal experience, the From personal experience, the Nexus one screams with the snapdragon. UI was jazzed up by google. Battery life is not as good as the iphone, and there are some quirkiness with it. (I suspect mainly with all the bells and whistles google threw at it)
But, if you think the android phones are good now, wait about another 2 months. The ones in the pipeline are about to scream. Sorry, I can’t say much more than that.
As much as I like the droid, it’s going to look dated really really soon. Fortunately, I have access to both π

FLU…
Its very hard to judge FLU…
Its very hard to judge battery life these days. Phones interface with the networks differently depending on apps loaded (which you know about) but also the technology and even the translations at the cell site.
Its just so hard to make apples to apples comparision these days across makes and models.
Some of the things that make UMTS resiliant also suck the life out of the battery.
And sood the iPhone will be available to everyone… The exclusitivity clause is running out on the contract. Our capcity team is already sweating bullets about it.
The world of telecom is like a blender… Set on puree!
