This past weekend while in This past weekend while in Sprouts, we noticed their ‘free range’ turkey.
We have it prepped for roasting today. I wanted to try it out. I’ve heard good things about the heritage turkeys, but paying $9-$15/lb just seems outrageous. So I’m curious what those that have them think of them.
For the Sprouts ‘free range’ bird, I was very please with the look and feel of the raw turkey. It wasn’t the typical pasty white of the frozen factory farm birds. It had nice healthy look, the bird felt solid and dense. We’ll see how it cooks up.
