[quote] POT BUSINESS HELP FOR LOW-INCOME?
San Diego Councilman Chris Ward plans to propose a “cannabis equity” program this spring that would aim to give low-income residents in neighborhoods affected by the war on drugs a leg up in opening marijuana businesses in the city.
…Bry, who was a high-tech entrepreneur before joining the council in 2016, said she’s researching how the city could legally encourage marijuana entrepreneurs to use the high-tech model when launching their businesses.
“It’s not fully baked,” she said. “I’m at the beginning of exploring it.”
…It would be illegal to have a cannabis equity program based on race or ethnicity, but programs based on income are legal under state law.
so had to ask, are local politicians fully baked?!

I’ve come to believe that the I’ve come to believe that the reason we have trump as POTUS is because social justice warrior’s like the local ass kissing politicians spend all their efforts on dumb stuff like “cannabis equity” programs, which make them feel like they are correcting inequalities
but these shit for brains are missing big problems they them selves cause,… like mismanaging the public pension portfolios
sadly till the system fails, we’ll see extremist on the left and right pushing further outward (which is why the system is going to fail)

In other words, both extreme sides of the isle are fully ‘baked’ – in the 1960’s sense of the word.

yup,… but more specifically as I see things, both extremes are NOT acknowledging/addressing root systemic problems and prioritizing risk
for example,… “illegals and the wall” is a simple hot button political diversion that keeps voters occupied and emotionally involved so they don’t think about big financial woes created by no talent ass clown politicians and government union leadership (on both sides of the isle)
so the big problem of unsustainable welfare for talentless ass clowns (i.e. taxpayer welfare for politicians and government unions) is off the radar of sheeple,… and given the “California rule” which implies taxpayers are the financial backstop for shortfalls of public pension portfolios,… eventually given trends this means TSHTF and sheeple end up being hit the hardest and suffering the most
[quote] COMMENTARY: Blame government unions [ALONG w/ POLITICIANS], not illegals, for financial woes
Is it too much to ask that those who are sworn to enforce the laws actually follow them? After all, when laws are broken, other people pay the price.
You may have heard that California is running out of money. This is true.
You may have also heard that the Golden State is home to an estimated 2.5 million illegal immigrants, and that this is what is driving California into bankruptcy. This is false.
At least that’s what I heard more than a decade ago from former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
At the time, Nativist talk-radio hosts were spewing baseless claims that the state’s financial insolvency was all due to costs incurred because of illegal immigration. “That is not so,” Schwarzenegger told me and the other members of the editorial board of the San Diego Union-Tribune in 2008.
