comparison the percentage change of the Case-Shiller Home Price Index for the housing correction beginning in 2005 (red) and the 1980s–1990s correction. The current depreciation depth is alarming in comparison with the last downturn. I cannot wonder how bad it’s going to be in the months ahead…

wantobuyParticipantI meant comparing 828 with 837 and 861’s $738, $744

wantobuyParticipantI think the price has actually dropped a little. I’m looking at a price list dated on 4/23. Lot 828 plan 3365 was $751K, and from the lot map, they all have the same lot size, but 828 has two neighbors on the same side.

wantobuyParticipantcan some one knowledgeable enough to tell if what said in the video is right, that the money is created by private banks out of nothing? The video looks to be very creditable with many quotes from famous bankers. does any one catch any obvious errors in the video? It’s really astounding. Thanks!

wantobuyParticipantI would be surprised by the price increase. The last time I checked the prices at Mayback (about 10 days), I saw a house/lot of Plan 4 dropped about $40K from May. Also although they sold a house that is ready to move in 45 days that fell out of escrow, there isa house falling out escrow and come back to the market. I don’t see any reason they would increase the price especially when they’re just starting to sell the early phases in their project unlike other builders in 4S.

July 3, 2007 at 10:55 PM in reply to: New Homes- Reduces prices, plus up to $50,000 to spend your way! #63880wantobuyParticipantI’m curious what prompted the builders to make such big price drops. Is it because they never sold any house in the projects? The houses at 4S ranch and Del Sur are still selling (though very slowly, and from time to time previously “sold” houses come back to the builders), maybe that’s why there have no big drops this year in 4S ranch and Del Sur?
