I got scholarships for tuition but got a few loans back then for other bills. The loan applications were all referred to me by the academic adviser and all of the applications came with clear instructions, including deadlines. So I think the first point of contact should be her academic adviser.
nostra–Thanks. I know what you say is true, but this particular med school in the Bay Area is unresponsive…or at least our kid says they are. Man, we are not gonna put ourselves on the line anymore…no co-signing, no HELOC, no nothing. Right out of her BSN she’s gonna be making more than either one of us make on our own. Sorry for the rant. This is a private college, by the way.TuVuParticipant
I got scholarships for tuition but got a few loans back then for other bills. Just one week we did this with my fiance for her grad school loans.
Sd_bear,Thanks. We do Fafsa every year. We always get a fairly high “Expected Family Contribution” because they will not allow you to talk about medical bills, etc. We don’t know what to do.

TuVuParticipantI’m ancient…but this kind of crap used to happen all the time when there was a gas shortage…circa 1973? There’s no shortgage now. I haven’t experienced any violence myself, but I fill at an Arco right after 6 in the morning. My dad fills whenever he can, thinking that it’ll go higher (prolly right). This is no doubt what is going on.
