Trojan4LifeParticipantKev,
Took the family to Europe last summer and we put about 4,500km on a rental car traveling from Germany to Italy and Belgium etc…the car rental itself was pretty inexpensive, we went with Hertz and I think our total for a little Opal Meriva for 2 weeks was like $250 US. With the poor exchange rate now, it’ll be more. Get ready for shocking fuel prices, though. Gas is about $7.50 per gallon there, or about 1.40 euro per liter. We had an advantage in that I was able to get gas ration coupons through the US military installations, so I paid stateside prices for gas in Germany and Italy. Huge savings there!
Have fun, I highly recommend traveling by car if you like to do your own thing…that’s why we picked it.
