StradivariusParticipant
I’ve thought about purchasing a kindle and made a pro/con list.
Pros:
– Better for the environment
– Easier to carry when traveling
– Keyword searchCons:
– Not supporting my local scifi/fantasy bookstore (Mysterious Galaxy), who gives me excellent recommendations on things to read
– Difficult to share books with my husband and my brother-in-law (unless we share the kindle)
– Can’t donate them to my local library or sell them, etc.Right now the cons are winning out and I am kindle-free. BTW, if any of you want to borrow our Robert Jordan or Tad Williams series, let me know. And if that’s your genre, I’ll also loan you Jim Butcher and Joe Abercrombie (both came highly recommended at Mysterious Galaxy). You wouldn’t kill any more trees and wouldn’t have to spend a dime.

StradivariusParticipantIf the Eagles win the superbowl with Vick, I imagine all will be forgiven. Remember Ray Lewis? Kobe Bryant? Nobody mentions their legal troubles now that they both have won national championships.
I’m just hoping to see some crazy McNabb/Vick/Westbrook wildcat offense.

StradivariusParticipantAcai berry has a lot of antioxidants. Pilots used to eat bilberry to improve their vision, which also has antioxidants. Most fruits and vegetables with dark pigment (goji berry, blueberries, kale) are touted as “superfoods” as they have a high concentration of antioxidants which help scavenge free radicals in the body (reduce risk of cancer). They also help promote healthy ocular metabolism and reduce the risk of macular degeneration (leading cause of blindness in people over 55 in the US).
