Thanks brian. I fixed the link. Forgot to un-italicize…
Also, I think the original airdate was March 24, 2011.

StradivariusParticipantI stopped in at ex-work today to pick up the remainder of my equipment. Guess what?! Ex-boss is going to take two months off to “catch up”. Maybe rehab? Maybe not.
I called the CA board and while I am not legally required to report anything, they recommended that I file a consumer complaint. I can’t do it anonymously, but I would be protected if he tried to take any legal action against me. They are trying to protect the patients from possible negligence (fortunately I never witnessed any), and also want to know when a practitioner is violating code.
I’m hoping I can get settled in another job within two months and take it from there. Keeping my fingers crossed that he’s in rehab, comes out clean/sober, and normalcy resumes!

StradivariusParticipant
Yikes! That’s a horrible position to be in, Strad. I have to agree with OCR on this…best to get out and get your letter of reference first. Is there anyone close to your boss whom you could speak to about the issue?
Thanks for your input everyone. My ex-boss lives alone and is close with his brother, but I think the brother covers for him. I’m sure they want to keep it under wraps since exposure could jeopardize reputation.
I am not obligated to report anything to the board except child abuse. It’s just a sad situation and people are suffering. But you guys are right, I should get my reference letter, not burn any bridges, and hope that things will work out ok.
