i prefer to let things just fall apart. i like a decaying fence, an unmowed yard, that creeping sense of chaos and rundownedness. I need that sense of decay. i want it.
but you like Gold! Must be hiding it in the depths of your chaotic yard!

Paramount: I don’t know if you were being ironic or not, but do you know where the Chargers got their name?
Team founder was Barron Hilton (yeah, THAT Hilton) and named the team after… Look it up, its pretty funny.
I was just introducing some comic relief, at any rate this is what I found:
Gerald Courtney of Hollywood won an all expenses-paid trip to Mexico City and Acapulco for submitting “Chargers” in name-the-team contest.
I’ve read about four different versions of how they were named. I like the owner’s charge card version.

I think you missed Flu’s point. He’s questioning your want/need perspective.
You seem to have you wants and needs confused. Don’t feel bad though, most of the country does. And, it seems as the disease is rapidly spreading across the globe. That’s the pandemic I’m most afraid of. The Swine Flu is a joke by comparison. Resources are finite.
I must admit that at times I also, suffer from want/need inversion. I prefer to pick on American society as the cause. I mean, it can’t be my fault, right?!?! I can’t be expected to be responsible for my own actions. That would just be unAmerican.
I NEEDED to fix my pool, it was leaking. The cost to fill it in would have been the same or higher, the cost to leave it as is would have been a flooded foundation.
I NEEDED to fix my fence, it was falling down.
I WANTED my house fixed, true. Sorry, actually the house was fine, it was the other property. And by the way, the house may have cost X dollars, but a lot of that is land value, and questionable land value at that!
So, I”M NOT CONFUSED. The two of you need to jump off this high horse of condemnation you like to ride.
Please stop joining others in this constant beration of others.
