I really enjoyed the night tour. There were less people walking around, and just experiencing the old buildings as night fall was coming was interesting and a bit spooky. Definitely unique.
sdsubieParticipantRob and Dan from Insight Home Inspections. I spoke with Rob to schedule it, and Dan was the guy that came out and performed the inspection. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Dan was extremely thorough, took his time, and was very knowledgeable. It’s been 6 months since we purchased, and everything that he pointed out like “watch our for those 1 piece angle stop valves, they tend to leak” have been invaluable (and true). I also like they that they have a lot of true knowledge from working in the building industry, and combine it with the proper tools like Thermal Imaging.

Cheers,
sdsubieParticipantMy wife and I went through exactly the same decision process and ended up pulling the trigger and closed in late July.
List prices vary so much currently as far as how they relate to current market value. Comps will help you greatly when deciding how much to offer.
Is it a conventional sale, or short-sale or foreclosure? You timeline to closing could vary greatly depending on what kind of sale it is.

No finder’s fee. Just paying it forward. I wish someone would’ve passed the info to me. If it helps others, then great. It’s just such a process. I really hope others can benefit from my trial and errors and research.
It definitely helps. There are so many factors that go into refreshing a recent purchase. Taking advice from someone who has gone down the same road is invaluable.

I used Cesar. The guy who he employs was awesome. He did a great job cutting and prepping, having the grain go in the same direction for all countertops, and installation. I was impressed and very pleased. I don’t know how many people Cesar has that does that work, but the guy that did ours was just great. I wish I could remember his name. I’ll have to find out and if I do, I’ll add the name later. I would recommend him for the granite.
Thanks for the clarification, I wasn’t sure if you’d had it cut elsewhere and just had Cesar install it. Much appreciated for the information. We only happened onto Brazilian Exotic because of your recommendation. My friend just purchased 2 slabs there because I told him about it. You should be getting a finders fee!
