people like you are the reason why FB stock is $65/share instead of $18/share.
(serious remorse of not buying any shares back when things were $18… Thanks for nothing…)

You aren’t alone in that 😉

sdgrrlParticipantI know many Boomers who plan to stay in their homes until they die or are forced to move. The whole generation is interesting to me as they had a lot going for them and against them.
They had low home prices in their younger years, education was cheaper and some are part of a pension system.
On the flip side, they went through the 90s recession, the dot com burst and then the 2008 crash.
The Great Generation endured the Depression, but those who made it through witnessed the post War boom and could prosper with hard work.
The Boomers…not sure what to think.
X, Y and Millennials…we will see as well.

You crack me up. So much I had to post this twice? How do I delete?

sdgrrlParticipant

Glad someone posted the article from Vanity Fair- though I find the irony of Vanity Fair publishing it…absolutely ironic! Love many of the articles, but it’s like porn for social climbers ;)
I think of Vanity Fair as People Magazine for a different socio-economic set. The issue with the Stiglitz piece also had an article on the internal politics at Goldman during the mid-90s (excerpted from an upcoming book), and a piece from Paul Allen on how he (allegedly) got ripped off by Bill Gates. I generally enjoy it, although the fixation with anything Kennedy- or Old Hollywood-related is a bit much.
Social climbing can be an enjoyable hobby… so long as you’re social and don’t spend all of your money on it.
Good points. I enjoy the magazine also, but sometimes it can be nauseating to me in regards to the royalty worship and yes Kennedy family worship as well. I don’t mind the old Hollywood pieces. When I go on plane rides I always like to purchase VF because you will usually get a good read out of it. To each their own.
