What’s the advantages of a detached garage, besides exhaust from the vehicles?

ryphoenixParticipantUnfortunately it’s a HOA-free neighborhood. But I’m curious as what did the HOA do? Make them keep the dogs inside?? Good point on new neighbor with dog moving in, that’s why I’m hoping to find a solution rather than avoiding the issue.
Woo that Bark Free looks interesting. Seems like the neighbors may figure it out when their dog behaves strangely? I guess my issues are potential boredom/false alarm barks, which the Bark Free would solve. But more importantly the dogs should be able to learn/figure out that hey we’re the people living next door, so don’t bark at us. Unfortunately the dogs don’t seem to learn this on their own, as we are experiencing right now after 2 years at the same place.

ryphoenixParticipantInteresting point about air quality, although I can’t say I have really noticed it much.
I can’t stand detached garage due to the fact that I have to lock up the garage with keys then open house door with keys, all while carrying groceries and or baby, while it’s raining.

ryphoenixParticipantSure, but I need to know what to buy. A 4/2 with the existing master bath connected to a small bedroom, or a 3/2 with some yard space to expand?
So sounds like a 4/2 internal remodel would be easier?
3 times what I think it will be? Probably, but I’m not even sure what the original figure would be, so that’s not very helpful at all.
