sdduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. Yeah, I really want to waste my time with a bs posting about saving money on electrical bills. Why don’t you take the snapshot of my electical usage, call SDG&E and ask them if the KwH’s I listed match up with the dollar amounts I posted. That’ll shut you up quickly.
on another note, i agree worrying about lightbulbs and phone chargers isn’t going to make much of an impact when there are 3 fridges, 2 dehumidifiers, and 2 room AC/Heaters in use.
Perhaps this “experiment” will just prove to me that I just need to “live with it”. At the least I’ll know that the annoying task of turning off all lights, unplugging random things, etc isn’t worth the hassle for the amount of money it actually saves me.
Like you’ve all said, it isn’t an apartment. I’ll report back at bill time.

poway_sellerParticipantShe has a physiological temperature control issue. It could be 68 in the room and she would be sweating and I’d be perfect. I’d prefer NEVER to use heat or air, but no such luck in this lifetime.
Yes, no fireplace in entire home (I didn’t build it, I just live there). Kinda odd, no? At least is is safer with young kid and dogs.
obviously the heater is what kills my electric bill.
SIDE NOTE…
I did go to Costco on Tuesday and bought two packs of their NEW DIMMABLE CFL flood lights (R30). I changed out my lights and put them in (just bedroom), hit the electronic dimmer and… they don’t work! Dimmed they just flicker and buzz loudly. Perhaps on a non-electronic dimmer it will work, but I’m going to have to stick with lower wattage standard bulbs. DIMMABLE CFL is a hoax (and they were still $6.50 each!).

poway_sellerParticipant– No fireplace in the house
– No christmas lights (but the menorah warmed things up without having to run the heat)
– Yes, overheats and overcools (set at 65 on hot days) Again, body temperature regulation issues so somewhat justified.ps, keep all the jewish jokes to yourself. They are better in your head than written in a forum (unless they are about Madoff)
