Combining data from graduation rates in the region with spending per student in parenthesis:
http://media.signonsandiego.com/news/documents/2011/06/08/TestScoresSpending.pdfPoway Unified 95 percent ($7216)
Carlsbad Unified 92.4 percent ($7927)
Coronado Unified 92.7 percent ($8497)
San Dieguito Union 94.4 percent ($8108)
Valley Center-Pauma Unified 90.6 percent ($8850)
Sweetwater Unified 77.6 percent ($8612)
San Diego Unified 74.9 percent ($9855)it is almost inversely proportional! As spending per student goes up, the graduation rate decrease!

Did I read that right?
The second link Plan-1 shows ONLY TWO BEDROOMS in a 3000sf house?
you are correct. these are meant as “retirement” type homes for well-to-do retirees who have so much funds in their retirement accounts that $1200 + additional cost for the club per month is no skin off their backs.

ocrenterParticipant
Did the HOA in Crosby go up for all houses? Here is a nice house that I noticed just after I bought mine. I heard the owner was a realtor and sunk a fortune into upgrading this house. Look at the price it’s going for now.

Yeah the HOA and MR are high but it’s a really nice development.
wow, $1.8 million with additional upgrade cost down to $1.2 million.
If I recall HOA was $500, now $600 plus, I could be mistaken.
problem with Crosby landscaping is they go for all greens and lawns, which eat up a lot of water. most of the newer developments at least try to go with more drought resistant choices.
