would be safest bet- north county and north coastal areas are off my list due to risk of fires.

I’d rather have a small 2 bedroom condo in Pacific Beach, Point Loma or Ocean Beach than a big home in north county that will burn down every few years.

With the fires every few years burning most of the county down and major smoke pollution does change ones mind quickly.

I would much rather buy a motor yacht and have the ability to escape the land rather than be stuck in a crowded shelter.

Does Texas have wild fires like San Diego?

Repeat of 2003 fires with vengeance

I hope all fellow Piggintonians are safe and able to evacuate from the fires.

These fires are much worse than the wildfires from 2003!!!!!

I wonder if they will reach the coastal areas before the fire fighters put them out? Arnold should be sending super tankers to help the fire fighters out.

“The USA is 100% about consumerism. My observation is that if you do not have restraint, you will never succeed whether the issue is buying houses, cars, flat screens… whatever. Our society is and will always be about people pushing other people to buy and overspend. It is enforced and encouraged by our government, by many professions, and is embedded in our fabric. Lots of blame to go around everywhere…”

Indeed, I would like a big screen plasma TV and new car and while I can afford it, its not a need for me right now and I have more important things to save for in the future. Americans tend to be the worst savers on the planet. Everything is bought on credit and most Americans are in debt up to their eyeballs.
