Mark HolmesParticipant
Just be aware, if forming an LLC, the State of California requires a minimum tax of $800 a year…
Mark HolmesParticipant
Why do you want to refinance so soon, Mark? Did you remodel and re-landscape it sufficiently so as to appraise for enough to get you out of the (FHA) MIP??
That is our hope – we’re eager to get rid of the MIP, and if we can get a lower interest rate as well, we could cut our payment by over $500 a month. That would be really nice.
Mark HolmesParticipantThanks lpjohnso – that sounds like it may be our best bet – a streamline loan, while we can’t do it for a couple months still (they require a minimum of 6 months since closing) may be perfect.
And thanks to everyone else for the advice as well!
Mark HolmesParticipant
And the sun keep coming up in the morning and my garden keeps growing. Let’s talk about this issue next November.
I would love to just ignore it, and life does go on, but being on the verge of buying a house, I care.
Are we on the verge of a hyperinflationary spiral? Would this mean that buying a house is a good, or bad decision. Any advice here is appreciated…Mark HolmesParticipant
For some reason, I never found Steve Jobs’ story especially inpiring. If Apple did not create those electronics, some other company would.
I think that George Soros’ work with Russia and Eastern Europe is more significant to human history.
Bill Gates’ work in the field for world health is so much more significant.
Well, that is exactly the point. Other companies DID create those electronics before Apple. But they created abysmal pieces of electronic trash. There were MP3 players, smartphones and tablet computers all before Steve Jobs and Co. decided they would make the iPhone, iPad and iPod. Apple has always been about doing something, but only when they are capable of doing it right. It’s not what you do – it’s what you DON’T do that defines you.
I only hope that Tim Cook and the rest of the team at Apple can continue creating devices that just work for years to come.

Mark HolmesParticipantBuggy? I’ve been using mine for 10 days and haven’t had any problem. I’m looking forward to the update that will enable streaming from iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, etc..,) in November, but haven’t had a single hiccup.
What did your Apple TV do that seemed buggy?
