You might also look in the newer section of Sabre Springs, south of Poway Road. Many homes in there are good sized, still in PUSD, pretty low Mello-roos and HOA. We lived on Briarleaf for a while, HOA was @ $30.00 mo, Mello-Roos was not bad.

MANmomParticipantWhy no shed, are you allergic? I have a dog that has short hair, she is a boxer/lab mix, and I am not allergic to her. The dogs that give me fits are the pure breds – I cannot go near cockers, springers (all spaniels) goldens, labs, germans…you get the idea. A cocker can cause welts on my skin just by touching me with their nose! And Weims do shed, just small hair…remember the Westerfield trial, they had a Weim and he had dog hair in his dryer from poor little Danielle. You might try a mutt…but if it is the mess, good luck!

MANmomParticipantdumbrenter, As former military, I will tell you that the military usually waits to move people in the spring or December…yes, that has to do with kids school schedules. Often, they will move them early, but the wife stays behind to finish out school year. Too disruptive for kids to go to a new school for two or three months, but mid-year is not bad. We never moved anytime except early summer. We had orders by spring, usually moved out in June, had a month or two to move, and started leases in August. The only time we did not get spring orders was when my husband taught at the Topgun school…they run on no one’s schedule but their own.
