Also, since I’d like to save as much money on a purchase as I can, is now a good time to buy a condo or house in San Diego? Or do I wait a couple more years? Waiting would not be a problem for me as I’m very comfortable where I am right now and the schools are excellent.

luvsanParticipantSD Realtor, thank you for responding. I figured something had to be wrong with the condos for them to be priced so good. Yes, more and more I’m leaning toward a condo. I had wanted a 1900+ sf house, but I am very comfortable in the 1100 sft condo I’m now renting. Very low maintenance. Also, my oldest son will have one more year of high school then off to college, so it will just be me and my 13-year-old, so I don’t need the room of a large house. Another thing, the kids never even went in the backyard the last few years we’ve had one.
Is clairmont a good area to live in? I have a friend who rents a house there for $1600 a month, not anything I’d live in (kinda run down) but the street is very peaceful.

luvsanParticipantI’d appreciate some help on this from any, all realtors on here, or anyone who knows the San Diego area. I’ve got to make a decision soon.
Thanks!
