I miss being so close to work. Ironically, I live in CV but work in KM :)
My co worker drives from Hemet to Kearny Mesa everyday. He bought a huge house out in the middle of no where and his wife gets to stay home with his two kids everyday.
He says the drive is not bad and listens to a ton of audio books to help pass the time in his car. If the freeway has no accidents he says it takes him about an hour and a half one way.

Looking2buysoonParticipant
This is really high.. You can get a 1bed in Carmel Valley for 1450 at the club.
$1,455 for 1br rent in kearny mesa sounds really high. That would make me want to purchase too.

Yeah I know, I would move but work is directly across the street. I only put gas in my car 1 or twice a month because everything is close by.

Yeah and its just north of Montgomery Field so i get to hear the planes all day. Across the street they have some nice townhomes that are selling between 300 and 400k. I wish I could afford one. I have been watching them for over a year and the prices do not go down.
I dont know how the heck people can buy these places. Thanks to all who shared some advice on here.
