Surfrider Foundation has a new cool book on Amazon about how to do this type of thing yourself. We call it an Ocean Friendly Garden.
Our goal is to reduce water use (up to 50% of our water bills are due to irrigation of our lawns,) and run-off.
The book has detailed instructions on how to capture water, and selecting climate-appropriate plants.
