jennyoParticipantDesmond, from what I can tell the Wrangler and Agrusa’s are both still in business. The Wrangler was my favorite place to eat when I was a kid because they would give you that entire squeeze bottle full of extra BBQ sauce! I moved away from Escondido after finishing college but my parents stayed in the area until about 2002 and continued to visit the Wrangler frequently until then. I think my dad loved how cheap everything was there.

jennyoParticipantI agree with Ren’s comments about that part of Escondido. It is a pit, no matter how nice and new the houses are. My father commuted from Valley Center to Rancho Penasquitos for work and even in the 80s the traffic to get to the freeway from there was horrendous.
BTW-Ren, did you go to HS in ‘Dido? What years? Wondering if I know you. I went to OG from 83-87.
