You’ll save, but after a long flight, a long underground journey is the last thing I’d want. Another factor is am and pm rush hour. The closer you get into central London, the more it gets packed. Hauling luggage on crowed metros can be a hassle. Anyway good luck whichever you choose.

JazzmanParticipantI wouldn’t take the Piccadilly line. It stops all the way into central London and will take forever. Most take the Heathrow Express which stops at Paddington Station. From there it’s a 15 minute cab ride to Euston. Or you could take the tube (metro) circle line to Euston Sq, a short walk to the Station.

JazzmanParticipantApple stocks for a major product, and always sells out in a few hours. Is this a marketing ploy? Even stranger, I just phoned a store in Brea, who said they never even received their supply of iPad 2, and yet there is a line of people waiting outside their shop for them. Is this symptomatic of our times, that people will stand in long lines for hours, to relieve the fever? What a coincidence that the iPad shares a common moniker with a home.

JazzmanParticipantTry other Apple authorized resellers, not the main Apple stores. There’s usually one in each city. I believe the sales tax is a refund on departure at international airports.
