When someone says that we should do away with prop 13 on rental and commercial properties, I’m so glad that I own rather than rent. Does anyone believe that I am going to eat any increase in property tax? I’m going to pass that right along to my tenants.
I used to own a ten unit courtyard and my insurance was raised by 6k in one year. I raised everyone’s rent by 50/month.jamsvetParticipantWhen someone says that we should do away with prop 13 on rental and commercial properties, I’m so glad that I own rather than rent. Understand it? Think they have hidden any loopholes in there? Trust them? If the “Special Fund for Economic Uncertainties” is such a good idea, why didn’t they just implement it rather than putting it on a ballot? Questions, questions questions.

jamsvetParticipantVote no on everything. Our “representatives” have hijacked the system to such an extent that we do not know what we are voting for. Try to read the actual text of the measures. If you understand any of them let me know. They always say one thing but in the end they do what they want. Remember how the lottery was going to provide all that money to the schools?
