    We live on a barrier island in Florida which is heaven.

    I thought with the economic collapse I would see thousands of economic refugees from the north around here…but I haven’t seen anything like that.

    Jacksonville, Tampa, Melbourne, Orlando Florida.
    There are some really fabulous areas with modern homes to be had for very little now.
    There is plenty of wildlife, low utility bills (we insulated the attic and rarely use air-conditioning). There are lots of young people. In the nice areas there is no gang activity like one finds in CA…
    We don’t lock the door but I am not giving away the name of our little town.

    A European Ford Focus Station Wagon diesel hybrid.
    Those cars would be the end of the fuel crisis.
