ParticipantDealhunter, the 2nd I have is a HELOC – I wasn’t aware that that debt wouldn’t be handled like the 1st with a foreclosure. Running Bear, I do have one visa card with a balance of $11,000 and it is currently at 0% on one of those 6 month promotional rates. I would think so long as I stay current on those payments they would not be able to raise the interest rate? I am considering the implications of losing the tax writeoff – roughly, I would have to pay $700 a month more in taxes.
It’s nice to know that there are some people in my camp! 🙂

ParticipantThat is correct Navydoc, I do not have $30k available to put into this to allow me to sell. I’ve heard a lot of good information here, primarily that being I need to talk to my lender. I’ve put that on my to-do list for the first thing next week.

ParticipantThanks for the explanation on FB, EJ. No, you’re not sounding harsh. I posted my question here because I did need some feedback from people that are, obviously, wiser than me. And ltokuda, I appreciate you’re comments too. If the jealous renters could only see how torn up I am about this, they seem to think that I’m taking this lightly.
