Hey Aecetia,
We’ve been so busy renovating/moving that I havent had time to explore the city chicken idea. We literally just moved into our new house a few days ago.
I think TG may have said that my HOA would not allow chickens. Given their vigilance (we were cited for a lawn violation before we even moved in), I don’t think my chicken idea will hatch – much less take flight. Har har…
Will the bird tolerate being held? I’m assuming you could not release him into the wild? He’s probably way too used to people at this point, eh?

dharmagirlParticipantI watched James Carville on Larry King last night. He said that the McCain team believes that Alaska’s proximity to Russia gives Palin “foreign policy experience.” If that’s true, all I can say is “WOW.”
If McCain is trying to win over Hillary voters, Palin is NOT the answer. She’s waaaaay too conservative. From what I understand, she is anti-gay, pro-life and pro-gun.
Liberal Hillary supporters will never go for that.
I think Palin will appeal to blue collar workers and people like my former neighbors in the Upper Midwest who would never, EVER vote for a black person, will think Mr. Palin’s snow machine prowess is cool, and love the photos of a rifle- toting Governor Palin.
It will be interesting to see how Saturday Night Live skewers Gov. Palin. I can already the see skits featuring Tina Fey as Palin!
I’m looking forward to the debates. McCain vs. Obama will be predictable…but Biden vs. Palin will be pure entertainment!

dharmagirlParticipantI wonder if Cindy is taking pain killers for that injured arm?
From Psychology Today:
http://blogs.psychologytoday.com/blog/addiction-in-society/200806/mccain-and-cindy-drugsThe McCains have worked to make Cindy McCain’s addiction into a political asset-despite the fact that she stole the drugs from a charity she directed and used them while mothering four young children.
In 1994, Mrs. McCain admitted that she had solicited prescriptions for painkillers from physicians who worked for an international charity that she founded, the American Voluntary Medical Team. She then filled the prescriptions in the names of her staff.
With a $100 million fortune, I’m surprised she couldnt procure the drugs another way!
