I heard the recorder in Clark County is borderline obese and the SD Recorder is very fit?
desmondParticipant
Not to pile on, my son was recently transferred to Houston. I drove out with him and made a movie of the trip, it’s easy and you can post it on youtube, to be 23 again-check out his new roomates:

Meet the parents, my son is in L.A. for a few days, with his new girl friend. They are actually stopping by for dinner tonight and spending the night- then off to Santa Barbara tomorrow. He’s doing great, the point is he has his own life and now manages to visit us just enough to say he did… like I did with my parents. So even though kids are tough, enjoy them while they are still home. I find myself actually thinking about the “Cats in the Cradle” song…..and I thought it was so lame when I was his age……..
desmondParticipantDo governments even have workers to build buildings? Isn’t it contracted out with maybe government supervisons on the job?
desmondParticipantWhat a coward this guy was in Colorado. Not much else that I can say matters on this.
desmondParticipant

No startup. But loading up on qualcomm. Assuming they take care of their supply issues.
I am also loading up on QCOM. Many analysts state this is a $65 stock by EOY. Trading in mid 50’s now is a great discount…
QCOM after hours up $3.25/share (5.8%), flu you can stop worrying about those gift cards………..
desmondParticipantIs this Spicoli or sdr? Good job.
desmondParticipant
I think after the big pharmas/biotechs start buying out all the smaller hopefuls, the next step will be mergers with the big boys.
Glaxo (GSK) is buying Human Genome Sciences for $3 billion.
desmondParticipant
I can’t offer any advice on contractors but my only advice would be to go as high end as possible and do as close a job to match the rest of the house.
When we were looking at houses, last year…we saw one we really loved but they just did a horrible job on the conversion. It didn’t look like the rest of the beautiful house.
To add, I don’t even think it was legal. It just looked really awful. They were advertising it as a true bedroom even though it was just horrible and they were probably better to just have left it off as a bedroom for marketing purposes. I can’t imagine anyone really considering it a bedroom with the horrible job they did.
Here’s earlyretirement thinking about that conversion last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNUr__-VZeQ
desmondParticipant
What does a big night out look like on Pine Mountain? Fish fry, pot luck, pig roast;)
If our EBT card gets accepted down at the general store the the sky is the limit.
desmondParticipant[img_assist|nid=16449|title=Bulova|desc=I have this antique Bulova, on a big night out I wear this and my wedding ring. Not sure of the model, could not find it on mybulova.com.|link=node|align=left|width=100|height=75]
Have a vintage Bulova Accutron Astronaut given to me by my Dad, who collected watches. Have tried many others, but always go back to this one. Old-fashioned or not, love the watch and the memories that go along with it.
desmondParticipantNot true at all, where do you think the term “grumpy old man” and the “mid life crisis” etc., came from? It is from little things over time that creep into your mind and you deal with them poorly, usually with anger or revenge. You can always blame somebody else for their bad behavior but you can’t for your own.
desmondParticipant
Just a friendly reminder. Just like guns. Don’t blame the gun, blame the gun owner….
You wouldn’t kick a loud/roudy kid in first class or in a nice restaurant, you would kick the parent(s) for making that decision.
Don’t blame the dog. Dropkick the dog owner.
I really suck at things like this and usually overreact. Try to deal with this on a different level than anger and revenge. If you let this get in your mind than other bad habits of neighbors will start creeping into your head and every little thing will drive you crazy. If you have kids and they see you dump crap on the neighbors yard they will suffer. It sucks (dog poop) but if you use a calm, rationale approach you are much better off. Again, I have learned the hard way, but I have learned…

Hate to break it to you but she looks nothing like that in person. A friend was her long time publicist.
She’s forty, sexy, successful and probably very beautiful, your freind is the one that is lacking.
Funny when I met her a couple years ago none of those adjectives came to mind other than successful. A few others came to mind but it would set off some filters. Just not a nice person either.
The next thing your going to tell me is that “Ted” is not real.
