Since we’re OT anyway, what do you guys think of my daughter, who loves animals, but especially dogs, marrying a guy who has already told her that he will NEVER own a dog? Cats are okay, but dogs…NEVER. Is this a deal breaker? Or can they compromise? What advice can I give her?

I love Del Cerro. I grew up there. This is a very nice street. The exterior of the house is horrible, the inside is very dated, as you say. But the views from this street are incredible. When my family moved to Del Cerro in the 1960s, the community was “in the sticks.” Now it is very central and a relatively easy commute to Mission Valley or downtown. Hearst Elementary is ranked near the top in the SD Unified School District. However, I think, like you do, that the home is overpriced.

Edwards is my candidate. It’s not that I don’t like Obama or Hillary. I just feel that, in the end, in the privacy of the voting booth, the many Americans who are closeted sexists or racists won’t vote for a black or a woman. Edwards, IMO, is the only Dem who could win against anybody the Repubs put up…except, possibly, Rudy. Rudy would be all right by me, but his star is apparently in a freefall.

I am so frustrated that these two lightly populated states have such power. One out of 10 people in this country lives in our state. We should have more clout! At least we moved the primary up.

I find Huckabee frightening. Possibly worse than Bush.
