Chris, thank you for the information. I am not financially savvy, like many in this forum, but I am a quick learner. I had planned to buy soon but have since decided to look into renting for another year or two and watch the housing prices. Profit from my home sale in March is tucked away. I have stock options that I had planned to cash in to give me more money to put down on a house. Not sure if I should go ahead with the plan to cash out the options (even though I probably will not be buying soon) since the stock prices are wavering some in tech area, or hold on for another year until I am actually ready to buy.
I am sure there are several differing opinions on this forum, but any information would be most appreciated.
calysmeowParticipantChris,
What does your system say today?

calysmeowParticipant‘Goat Sucker’??? Oh my, oh my. Maybe I should look in another area?
Just kidding! Still looking for a rental. Amazed at what people are putting out there for rent – dirty, run down, homes and, yet, by the time I get to see them they have 2 or 3 apps on them already! And they actually rent them for ridiculous prices!
Sigh… and the search continues.

calysmeowParticipantI am looking at rentals in Park Village – and along Calle Cristobal and other areas of PQ, as well as north of 56. Found one in Park Village but the owner had let it get very run down and was in denial that it needed anything. Very sad because it was a cute house.
I work for a large computer company – probably shouldn’t be advertising their name on the forum though.

calysmeowParticipantJeeman, we hail from NW of Atlanta in Paulding County, due west of the ‘Big Chicken’!

calysmeowParticipantAre you referring to Lopez Canyon south of Calle Cristobal? What about the canyon North of Calle Cristobal on the east end near Camino Ruiz?

calysmeowParticipantI was looking at Rancho Penasquitos, Calle Cristobal, Park Village, etc., because they were in the middle. I need to commute to Rancho Bernardo – and I would travel against traffic both ways from this area, and we can still get to UCSD relatively easy even during rush hour.
Thanks for the information. Scripps Ranch looks very nice but the commute to UCSD would be too much. Will keep looking for a nice rental to tide us over, and let my house profit earn all that interest (sarcastically said) until the prices come down some. I have a friend who is out there looking to buy in CV also, and most of the sellers are not budging too much from their list price just yet.

calysmeowParticipantThanks for the info asianautica. I was a little nervous about being surrounded by office complexes in Wateridge. How was the traffic around rush hour? Pretty safe area?
