If I were looking for a good performing car, with a reasonable price and great reliability I think there is only one choice:2010 Mazda Speed3 (mid 20’s at the most…)
+1 on the MS3, I have a 2008 and I absolutely love it. It doesn’t get great gas mileage though (especially the way I drive.) Around 25 mpg highway, 17-18 mpg city… of premium gas.8bitnintendoParticipant
In my book, the definition of “smart” is “doesn’t do stupid things.”
+1
I see a lot of “smart” people make some remarkably poor long-term decisions. I mentally describe those people as, “Uh, he tests well…”
“High raw intellect, but irrational” might fit better as a label. Most people seem to make irrational decisions in at least one or two areas of their lives (relationships, finance, etc.) Or maybe their method of weighting selection criteria is significantly different from mine. I, of course, am the perfectly rational standard by which to judge others.

Nor-La-Temcu-SD-GUY definitely called it with “But, at the same time I think that the U.S. goverment knows there is no way it (we) can afford a serious recession so there will be continuous heroic efforts to avoid any serious economic slow down.”

8bitnintendoParticipant
8bit: I think we could probably do better than a 70 year old Russian bolt action, couldn’t we? Sheesh, even an M1 Garand would be preferable.
Ha, good point. I just happen to have an M39 and when all you have is a hammer… I’m sure a modern scoped rifle would be a better choice. But the Mosins also make a great club, which would fulfill the melee desires of Piggs! Plus, a substitute paddle if one falls overboard on a supply run.
