Eew, friends don’t let friends. Acceptable low-end whiskey is Jameson, and then only in irish coffee. If neat, it’s time to hit the scotches.December 21, 2009 at 9:21 PM in reply to: OT: Ok, time for New Years Resolutions. What’s yours??? #4962378bitnintendoParticipantI spent 1987-1989 in Brazil (Marine brat), which was not the best time to be there.
I’m actually going to be in Ambergris Caye, a bit up from San Pedro. The Blue Hole I have heard is overpriced and missing on sea life. Friends in the know have stated that it’s more something divers do to be able to say they have done. I think I’ll hit more reefs and wrecks and give it a miss.

Back when I was in Rangers, we had a very similar program. Of course, it also involved people shooting back at you, but the rappelling, parachuting and scuba work was an added bonus.[/quote]
Ha, I was actually in Air Force ROTC for a year in college. It didn’t take. I decided that not being yelled at for other peoples’ mistakes was worth paying for college myself.I love diving (will be in Belize diving this Xmas), but after doing a tandem jump I decided I already had too many expensive hobbies to add skydiving. Paying around $2K for a jump rig and having to pay for one-way plane trips adds up. I would rather be a spoiled dilettante than do what I love for a living… I suspect the pressure would ruin my fun!

1) Switch to a more interesting program at work
2) Break a certain income target next raise period (I doubt anybody really cares what it is, so I’ll elide it)
3) Climb more often
4) Hike a lot
5) Shoot a lot more often
6) Run at least 10-15 miles a week
