Yes the shelf life is a major factor in why I’m pulling the trigger on tires now. My current tires have tread left (less than 40,000 miles on them I think) but are 6 years old. Needless to say I don’t drive the 4×4 much. When pulling a 6,000 lb boat up a boat ramp it is probably a good idea to not have old hard tires with little tread. So I decided to go with Costco after all. They are giving $100 back and I was able to get Bridgestones which are made in CA. Now admittedly CA is Canada but atleast they are North American made tires.
