I did nails one time for the wedding. Took over 8 months for my nails to recover from the damage. Won’t ever waste the money on that unneccesary expense again. Guess I’m one of those no frills Pigg girl. Are nails that essential? Wouldn’t a self-manicure and polish do? Do guys really care about fake nails? Seems like that’s an easy corner to cut and save quite a bit.

April 21, 2008 at 3:37 PM #191663CoronitaParticipantOT: jpinpb, I don't know why, but for the longest time I thought you were a guy. As such, when I read about your nails, I was slightly worried there for a moment :). Frankly, I'm not particular fond of any decorated nails. And I like it better when my wife normally doesn't wear any makeup, but that's just me…
But, frankly, I'm the last one to talk about fashion and style. The good news for me is that most of the time, i can get away with wearing an old tshirt, dockers, and worn shoes when my wife won't be seen in public with me. And for those times when I need to be seen in public with my wife, I don't have to worry about what I wear, because my wife decides that for me.
Purely from an economic perspective, that saves me money, because I have noticed among peers dating peers that quite often a brand new significant other meant a new clothes lineup each time.

April 21, 2008 at 3:38 PM #191669JCParticipantOT for sure, but this is kind of funny. There are so many men on this board that I always assumed that jpinpb was a guy. For the record, I am female too. I wonder what the split is here? Sorry for the random tangent.
